HOMEWORK: After you finish reading Act II of The Crucible, write a paragraph discussing John Proctor's relationship with his wife: Elizabeth. I have no specific idea for you to prove. I simply want you to think about what you have to say about the topic. However, this isn't just any paragraph. I want you to focus on trying to experiment with each of the eight sentence types. GUIDELINES:
Make sure to separate the sentences in list form, leaving extra spaces between each.
Identify the sentence pattern, using the “Eight Sentence Patterns” notes (see attached).
Bring this to class on Tuesday and it may just count for your quiz… ;-)

John Proctors relationship with his wife Elizabeth is a complicated one. John and Elizabeth have had a rocky relationship ever since Elizabeth caught John and Abby having sex together. Elizabeth seems to have lost her love for her husband while John tries his hardest to please his wife and try to make up for what he has done wrong but most of the time it doesn’t work. They have seem to have lost lust for each other and their marriage is dieing. This is shown in the beginning of act 2 but towards the end of act 2 when Elizabeth gets taken away for being accused of witchcraft John Proctors reaction showed that he really does love his wife a lot because he was flipping out trying to save her from going to court showing he has strong feelings for her.
